Halloween Peeps S’mores Dip

If you’re looking for a fun Halloween treat that takes almost no time to make, this Halloween Peeps S’mores Dip is such a cute idea! It has everything you love about traditional s’mores. The melted chocolate, gooey marshmallows, and crunchy graham crackers, but turns them into an easy, shareable Halloween dessert.

Halloween ghost and pumpkin Peeps make the top of this dip especially festive. As they bake, the marshmallows puff up and get warm and gooey while the chocolate underneath melts into the perfect dip.

The best part? You only need three ingredients and about 20 minutes from start to finish.

This would be a fun dessert for a Halloween party, family movie night, after-school treat, or even something the kids can help assemble.

Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for another 5–6 minutes, until the Peeps begin to puff up and become soft.

Remove from the oven and serve immediately while the chocolate and marshmallows are warm and gooey.

What to Serve With S’mores Dip

Graham crackers are the obvious choice because they give you all the flavors of a classic s’more, but you definitely don’t have to stop there.

Try serving your Halloween s’mores dip with strawberries, apple slices, pretzels, vanilla wafers, chocolate chip cookies, shortbread cookies, animal crackers, or even graham cracker sticks.

You could put several options on a platter around the baking dish and let everyone choose their favorite.

A Fun Halloween Treat for Kids

One of my favorite things about this recipe is how simple it is for kids to help make.

There isn’t much measuring or mixing involved. Kids can break apart the chocolate bars, arrange the chocolate in the baking dish, and decide where all the little Peeps ghosts and pumpkins should go.

Just make sure an adult handles the hot baking dish and anything going into or coming out of the oven.

It could also be a fun Halloween activity in itself. Set out the Peeps and let the kids design the top of the dip before baking it.

Tips for Making Peeps S’mores Dip

Keep an eye on the Peeps. Marshmallows can go from perfectly puffed to very toasted quickly. Start checking them toward the end of the baking time.

Serve it right away. This dip is best when the marshmallows are warm and stretchy and the chocolate underneath is melted.

Don’t worry about making it perfect. The Peeps will expand and change shape as they heat up—that’s part of the fun!

Use your favorite chocolate. Hershey’s milk chocolate gives this dip that familiar s’mores flavor, but you could experiment with other chocolate bars if your family prefers something different.

Make a dipping platter. For a Halloween party, surround the warm dip with graham crackers, cookies, fruit, and pretzels so everyone can dig in.

Can I Make Halloween S’mores Dip Ahead of Time?

This is one recipe that’s best made right before you plan to eat it. It only takes about 10 minutes to bake, so there isn’t much reason to prepare it far in advance.

You can, however, assemble your supplies beforehand. Have the chocolate broken up, Peeps ready, and dippers arranged on a platter. When you’re ready for dessert, all you’ll need to do is assemble and bake.

What If I Can’t Find Halloween Peeps?

Halloween Peeps are what give this recipe its adorable spooky look, but you can still make the dip if you can’t find them.

Regular marshmallows will work for a more traditional s’mores dip. You could also look for other seasonal marshmallow shapes or colors.

And this idea is easy to change for other holidays. Seasonal Peeps make it possible to create similar s’mores dips for Easter, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and more.

Easy Halloween Dessert for a Party

If you’re planning a Halloween party, sometimes the easiest recipes are the best ones. There are already costumes to figure out, decorations to put up, and plenty of other things going on.

That’s why I love Halloween recipes that look festive without requiring hours in the kitchen.

This Halloween Peeps S’mores Dip checks all the boxes. It’s quick, kid-friendly, requires only a few ingredients, and looks adorable sitting on a Halloween dessert table.

Plus, pulling a warm dish of melted chocolate and puffy Halloween marshmallows out of the oven is pretty hard to resist!
