1 cup unsalted butter, divided
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2½ tsp vanilla extract, divided
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
¾ tsp baking soda
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup red and green M&Ms
For the green frosting:
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tbsp milk
Green gel food coloring (you can change the color for a different look)
Christmas sprinkles
🎄 How to Make It:
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a springform pan with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, beat ½ cup butter until smooth.
Add the brown and white sugar, and cream together for 1–2 minutes.
Add the eggs and 1½ tsp vanilla, and mix until just combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda.
Slowly add this dry mixture to your wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and M&Ms—it’s starting to look festive!
Press the dough evenly into your prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Let the cookie cake cool completely in the pan before decorating.
🍥 Make the Frosting:
In a clean bowl, beat the remaining ½ cup butter until smooth.
Slowly add the powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, and milk, and mix until fluffy.
Add a few drops of green gel food coloring and stir until the color is evenly mixed.
Using a piping bag with a closed star tip, pipe a border around the cookie cake.
Finish with a generous sprinkle of Christmas sprinkles for a festive touch!

- Add the sugars, and cream together for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the eggs and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, and mix again until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all purpose flour, salt, and baking soda.
- Slowly mix the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Add the chocolate chips and M&Ms, and fold into the dough.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the top is beginning to turn golden brown.
- After baking, allow the cookie to cool completely.
- In another large bowl, beat the remaining 1/2 cup butter, until smooth.
- Slowly add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk.
- Mix until well combined.
- Add the green gel food coloring and mix until the color is evenly distributed.
- Use a closed star tip to pipe the frosting around the outside edge of the cookie cake.
- Sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles.
