Tin Can Planter Craft
I started this recycled craft by finding a tin can from our recycling bin. Using some white paint I painted the entire can. This helps with making the colors you choose nice and vivid and they stick better.
Using some blue tape I created a pattern for painting.
When painting the colors make sure they are almost dry before removing the tape. Taping is not necessary, but I wanted a very straight line, and tape makes that easier.
Make sure the paint dries completely before the next step.
Choose which ribbon to decorate the tin can planter with and measure what you need by wrapping it around the can. I like to have a little overlap so it can easily be secured with glue.
Any glue will work, but hot glue is easy since it dries quickly.
Once your planter is decorated, fill it will dirt and plant your succulent. I suggest a succulent because there won’t be any drainage holes in the can, and you will want something that doesn’t require a lot of watering.
